Learning to learn by listening
One of the most annoying things one can have is interrupting others while they talk.
The other annoying thing is not knowing we have failed in listening to others. Other people know things, things we do not know.
It doesn’t matter who, what matters more is how to listen. Once you learn that, learning is ignited and ready for more.
I have learned sometime back that I suck at listening, I always have something to say, to add, to show off with.. as if I’m on a lifetime marathon of proving myself. Then it happened.
I started to listen. To actively, interestingly, wholeheartedly listen.
That’s when I started to learn new perspectives and knowledge beyond my norm. Younger or older it didn’t matter, wisdom comes from all ages and faces..places too.
Talk less. Listen more. Ask more. Be in the moment when they talk. Absorb and don’t interrupt.
