Lost in information
There’s an abundance you see, so much more than any civilization has ever witnessed before.. it dumbs you down.
Even if you don’t read one sentence for a year, the amount of information you will come across just by sitting there on your phone will drown any previous human. Just by being alive today.
The inflow is like a tsunami hitting you on a beach as you watch it strike you full force, the absorption is minimal and either controlled or (most probably not) cleverly filtered and monitored for consumption.
If you don’t take note and frequently adjust the intake you will be flooded and find yourself out of control. You must sit down and do the following;
- Write down every single source of content and information you are connected to, directly or indirectly.
- Rate their importance and benefit to you from 1–10
- Take the top five and make way for them to be easily available and reduce other interference.
- Now dig and search for the noise and clatter , the useless and annoying sources and remove your connection to them.
- Revisit your top list and add ones that you might benefit from but where neglecting due to over consumption.
- If you can create your own system ( with AI preferably) to select, arrange, brief and deliver.. also mute annoying insisting ones.
- Do this weekly for your own benefit.
- Keep adding new sources and more favorable ones to a dump file to come back to on your weekly ritual.
Hope this was beneficial and too the point, I keep updating my system on all information channels and simply go with the flow.
But get this straight, nothing works for me without a system in place.. it’s like being attacked by every single piece of information in the world, hourly, daily forever.. also distracted and annoyed! and who wants that?
Best of luck and have a great day with lots of filters 😉
