My favorite kind of escape
Will never be the same as yours. Each one of us needs to know or discover what is their best form of escape and how they can trigger it when and where they wish to enjoy it.
What is a favorite escape?
- It’s a form of leaving your present everything on hold until you go and have a pause moment or hours even days.
- It recharges your energy level while doing something you find entertaining or simply doing nothing
- Escapes are personal never universal and a one size fits all
- Escapes come in all forms and shapes and the beautiful thing anyone alive can summon them and enjoy them
- Escapes can be costly like yearly vacations or favorite high ticket items you buy to feel good or cost you nothing
- Escapes can be in the form of company, or not
- Escapes can be destroyed if someone tries to perfect them or copy someone else’s way of escape
Someone’s escape can be playing computer games online, others might see that childish and a waste of time.. to those suckers I say “ Screw you” get a life.
Someone’s escape can be looking at a wall contemplating their life, not talking to anyone simply sitting there.
Another person’s escape can be more work, and most probably they’ll be faced with someone telling them you’re overworking, to them I say shut the you know what up.
Another persons escape is eating comfort food, because they workout and tackle care of themselves all year round all their life. I’m sure they’ll bump into someone that will give them a look of disgust. The only disgusting here is you’re interfering in that person’s life.
Another escape could be:
- Reading
- Watching old movies
- Rewatching old and old soap gain and again every night
- Phone calls with close friends talking about nothing and everything
- Listening to loud or classical music
- Driving at night alone or with company that doesn’t say a thing
- Writing a blog or book
- Chatting on social media
- Scrolling through social feeds
- Playing around
- Partying till the break of dawn then barely making it home to collapse
- Cleaning their home.. again and again
- Getting rid of old stuff
- Walking alone or with a bunch of people
- Sitting in a park people watching
- Sitting in a hotel lobby drinking coffee or tea watching people interact
- Taking care of a garden
- Doing voluntary work
- Commenting on other peoples posts
As you can see there’s so many escape routes a person can take and get away from it all.
You don’t need to feel bad for this healthy practice no matter what the pros tell you. Your life, Your time, Your escape(s).
Now that I’m done with this personal escape, I think I’ll scratch a tweet to my teams coach and tell him off on X.
